A lifelong resident of St. Albans and a Marshall University graduate, Walt has sharpened his business acumen as a commercial/personal insurance agent with Morris Insurance Services since 2007, helping countless corporations reach their operational goals. Being a successful businessman has never been enough for him.
In 2004, Walt formed the St. Albans Quarterback Club, which though its “Help Us Help You” mantra, led to the creation of the 25177 Foundation. The 25177 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides area youth groups with an avenue to raise needed funds by volunteering for community service projects, such as the “Make St. Albans Shine” citywide trash collection. The 25177 Foundation also sponsors the Barbara Hall Memorial Scholarship that is awarded to a Saint Albans High School graduate.
One only need walk down St Albans’ Olde Main Plaza during an event to see the impact Walt has made in his role as businessman, Chamber of Commerce member, Saint Albans Dementia Friendly Co-Chair, Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association, Rotarian leader, Councilman-at-Large, Vice Mayor, 25177 Foundation President, and currently West Virginia House of Delegates Representative for District 58. As friendly and personable as he is dedicated, Walt is tireless in his service to his clients and community. He can always be found working shoulder-to-shoulder with his fellow citizens or reprising his role with Susan, his wife of 34 years, as Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Rebecca “Becky” Hassie has been a licensed insurance agent for more than 12 years, and with Morris Insurance Services since July 2016. Prior to becoming a licensed agent, she was an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Sales for a large food distributor for almost 14 years.
Becky has two children Chelsey and Ryan, and two grandchildren, Grayson and Karson. She loves walking, hiking, kayaking, and traveling as long as she is with her family.
She is an advocate of spreading congenital heart defect awareness. She does this because her grandson Grayson was born without the left side of his heart with a defect know as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Because of Grayson’s extensive stay at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and the family staying at Ronald McDonald House for so long, she also loves to promote and do activities to support our local Ronald McDonald Houses.
Becky is a 1991 graduate of Milton High School. She is a member of Teays Valley Baptist Church, and volunteered with the Awana Club Ministry for more than 20 years. Other organizations she has volunteered with include Habitat for Humanity, Mountain Mission, 25177 Foundation, Backpack Buddies, and Facing Hunger Foodbank.

Amanda Kemper is our newest agent. She has been licensed for one year, having studied for and obtaining her license in 5 weeks. She previously worked at a manufacturing company, where she built circuit boards for 4 years. Her favorite job, however, was the 14 years she spent at home with her 5 children, Robbie, Elise, Lillian, and twins Joseph & Jeremiah, homeschooling them before the hard decision to enroll them in private school. Robbie now attends and will graduate from Hurricane High, as well as Putnam Career and Technical Center, in the welding program. She and her husband, Rob, enjoy taking the kids on hikes, as well as kayak trips when the weather is warm.
Amanda attended Calvary Baptist Academy until 10th grade, and then graduated from Hurricane High School in 1999. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from West Virginia State University.
Amanda and her family have a love for animals, spending 5 years working with a cat rescue, fostering over 100 cats and kittens until they found their forever homes. Over the years, they have had several cats and are currently servants to 7 demanding kitties, one sweet, crazy dog, 2 hamsters, and 2 fish. lt’s a zoo! Besides animals, they love their church, attending and helping out at Teays Valley Baptist Church, where Amanda’s family have been members for 38 years.
